Description Meeting House Hill, South Portland, Maine - Cottage and Pillsbury Streets, early 1920s. Trolley in center of street. Visible on the small building at left, a sign for the Brooklyn Heights Fish Market. Brooklyn Heights was a name used by locals for several years, referring to the area at the top of Meeting House Hill, along Cottage Road from Sawyer Street to Pillsbury Street. There was a Brooklyn Heights subdivision plan in May 1901 - likely where the name came from.
