Description |
The Addie M. Lawrence, a six-masted schooner. The Addie M. Lawrence was launched on 17 December 1902 from the Percy & Small shipyard in Bath, Maine. She was 292 feet long and 48 feet wide. The Addie M. Lawrence had a collision with a Boston fishing schooner, the Shenandoah, on 27 August 1912 off of Nantucket; the Shenandoah sank, but the crew was rescued. The Addie M. Lawrence was used to carry war-time supplies during WWI. Her last voyage was off the coast of France when she went aground in a gale on 9 July 1917. |
