Feature story about Maine Steel Products of Ferry Village and Cushing's Point, South Portland, Maine. This is the successor company to Marine Hardware Equipment Company. George Soule was also president of Steel Products Corporation in Windham. Maine Steel began in the bicycle factory building, moved to Windham, then returned to South Portland and was in a building in the East Yard of the former WWII shipyard. George Soule was president from 1928 to 1955, and his son-in-law Douglas Ramsay was president from 1955 to 1978.
