Richard Flynn - obituary. Mr. Flynn was born in South Portland in 1929. He worked at Taylor's Drug Store in Thornton Heights during high school. After graduating from South Portland High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He bought the Larry Rowe Golf Course and ran it until 1975, when he sold it to the City of South Portland. He then opened Flynn Hardware on Main Street and later opened another store on Cottage Road. Flynn died on January 13, 2012. |
