Isaac C. Atkinson meets with former Governor Robie and other potential Portland investors to discuss the potential of establishing a seal silk plush mill. Attendees included Charles F. Libby, George P. Wescott, Philip H. Brown, General J.M. Brown, Elias Thomas, Captain Charles H. Chase, A. Little, Captain Albert Boyd, Spencer Rogers, and Captain Horace Davis. Walter Ackroyd, a plush mill expert from Bradford, England, was also in attendance. Published in the Portland Daily Press, December 25, 1891. |
