Feature story about how Sagadahoc Farms became the Port O'Maine Airport, part three of a three-part series. Column picks up in 1942 when Harold Troxel became aware that a ban on civilian flying in the vicinity of Portland Harbor was about to be announced during World War II. Troxel moved Portland Flying Service and the Civilian Pilot Training Program to the municipal airport in Pittsfield, Maine. When the Navy started to draw down their operations in Portland Harbor in 1944, Troxel and his wife moved back to their home on Pleasant Hill Road in Scarborough and reopened his Port O'Maine Airport.
