Matchbook cover, adveristing Blake & Hamilton Insurance, 10 Cottage Road. E.L. Blake name on one side with drawing of a car. Blake & Hamilton Insurance was a partnership formed in 1933 by E. Lester Blake and Clarence Hamilton. The business was purchased in 1958 by Harold Blake (Lester's son) and Reginald Hall. In 1960, the new partners purchased the three-family home at 22 Cottage Road and moved the business there. They then incorporated under the new name Blake, Hall & Sprague when they purchased Sprague Insurance Agency in Portland. |
