The Forest City Steamboat Company has been formed for the purpose of transporting passengers and freight between the Portland waterfront and the islands of Casco Bay. Majority shareholder is John B. Curtis. Minority shares held by Charles H. Knowlton, Benjamin J. Willard, and Samuel C. Merrill. Officers are as follows: President - Charles H. Knowlton Treasurer - Samuel C. Merrill Directors - C.H. Knowlton, B.J. Willard, and John B. Curtis. Published in the Portland Daily Press, June 15, 1882. |
