Player rosters, Ametek Redskins, 1965 through 1970 seasons. Rosters include batting statistics. South Portland had a baseball team in the Portland Twilight League from roughly 1961 to 1995. The first team was organized by City Manager Bernal Allen and was known as the South Portland Merchants (circa 1961 to 1964), then was sponsored by Ametek and renamed the Ametek Redskins (1965 to 1970), and changed its name back to the South Portland Merchants (1971 to 1995). |
