Judd Lancaster's personal program for the dedication ceremonies of Mahoney Junior High School on Monday, April 22, 1968, at 8pm in the auditorium at the school. The guest speaker was Dr. Herbert Ross Brown who talked about Daniel F. Mahoney. A portrait of Dan Mahoney was presented by Ernest Angell, school board chair. Garth L. Good, chairman of the City Council, made the dedication. Invocation, dedicatory prayer, and benediction were given by Rev. J. Raymond McKenna, Rev. Winston Clark, and Rabbi Morris Bekritsky. Special guests included Mr. William Feeney, Lloyd D. Hatfield, Superintendent of Schools, and Wayne Roberts, former Superintendent of Schools. The Mahoney school principal, Judd Lancaster, planned and orchestrated the dedication. The notes here include Lancaster's opening remarks and his remarks when he accepted the portrait of Daniel Mahoney to be hung at the entrance to the auditorium. |
