Joseph Simonton, arrived at New York last Wednesday, making the passage from Hong Kong in four months. Mrs. Emily Dodge, who has been quite sick for several weeks, is rapidly improving. Dr. Kincaid is in attendance. W.H. Whittemore of this village, inventor of one of the best black boards that has ever been introduced into the public schools in this country, has sold the right of their manufacture in the United States, to Boston parties.
