Portland Pipe Line installation in 1941, South Portland, Maine, 23 images. The two oil storage tanks on Front Street were constructed in 1941 and the pipes installed underground to bring the oil from the tankers at the pier into the storage tanks, and also the pipes to take the crude oil from South Portland to Montreal. |
