Written on reverse: Natives of Willard -- as South Portland's oldest natives, Flora Gardner Jewett and Benjamin Pickett Jordan, both 90, ride in the 50th anniversary parade on August 28, 1948. Flora Gardner Jewett, born in the old Thrasher homestead on Myrtle Avenue on August 11, 1858, died January 7, 1952. Benjamin Jordan born in the old Jordan homestead on Preble Street, opposite so-called Prospect Hill area, on August 17, 1858. |
