Captain David Boyd house atop Meeting House Hill, 265 Cottage Road, Cape Elizabeth [South Portland], Maine. The home was built in the Civil War period for Captain David Boyd. His son, Captain Albert D. Boyd occupied the home with his wife Rosamond for several years. In 1892, a water standpipe was erected nearby. To this Albert D. Boyd vigorously objected at first, but he became one of the original Water District trustees. |
