Ridge Oil location at 410 Broadway, South Portland, Maine, in 1952. Ridge Oil was founded by John J. Ridge and was originally located at 199a Congress Street in Portland. The business was moved to 410 Broadway in 1953, which was formerly used by City Ice & Coal, run by Jake Lamport. The building is no longer in existence. When looking at the business from Broadway, it was situated just to the right of the Knights of Columbus hall (corner Broadway and Walnut). |
