1092 Broadway (formerly known as 536 Summer Street), Lillian Cheney's store in the 1910s. Lillian Cheney is on the left with her two children, Donald and Dot. Lillian's sister Laura is standing on the right with her daughter Ruth seated in front of her. Laura's husband had been a firefighter who had died in a Portland fire; Laura and her daughter lived in the house with Lillian and her kids. The Summer Street School can be seen to the left. |
